MAC Candy Yum-Yum Lipstick (Review,Swatches)
When MAC first re-promoted Candy Yum-Yum last year, everyone and their mother grabbed it...well, except for me. I am much more of an orange girl, but I understand the appeal. A neon pink with a comfortable matte finish? Sign me up. Whilst on a trip to MAC to return some empties, I snagged this baby for free to see if it lived up to the hype. And boy, it really does. This is the first matte lipstick from MAC that I've ever tried, and it was really impressive. The formula has a silicone-finish, so it doesn't feel too dry on the lips. Of course it isn't moisturizing, but it isn't drying either. I'm a big lip-licker, but Candy Yum-Yum lasted for hours without feathering or getting on my teeth (which is a huge problem for me because I have Invisalign).Candy Yum-Yum is very opaque, and I find it to be a very flattering matte, it's in-your-face in a good way, because you can't see flaky lips underneath! And the bonus of Candy Yum-Yum is that it stains your lips! I wore this to my sister's birthday party, where it lasted for 2 hours or so, and then I ate, so it was mostly removed, but a hot pink stain remained. I'm so glad I got this lipstick, because it's a keeper! I wish they'd make an orange lipstick in the matte formula...I'd be all over that one!
