Fragrance Friday: Taylor Swift Wonderstruck Review
Taylor Swift, one of my favorite artists, launched her first perfume, "Wonderstruck," last year. I got it for my sister for Christmas 2011, but haven't had it myself until Vanessa gave it to me this summer. I have to say, she did a great job on the bottle, with holographic purple shimmer accented with a gold lid (with a hidden 13) and adorable golden charms that have meaning to Taylor. Celebrity scents are often touted as unoriginal products that the celebrity just slaps their name on, but this to me is different. From her personalized charms and bottle, that are unique to the industry, combined with her idea behind the fragrance, I know that this is all Taylor's product, that Elizabeth Arden brought to life.I had to do a scavenger hunt to find as many of the notes as I could, because most of the time only a few are given away, to prevent copycats.Top Notes: raspberry, dewberry, green tea, freesia and apple blossom.Middle Notes: sweet vanilla along with sundrenched honeysuckle and white hibiscusBase Notes: golden amber, musk, sandalwood and peach.(source for notes: Fragrantica)I love this scent, it's just super sweet and fruity on me, but I can't say I wear it extremely often. Sweet scents have been my thing for years, but I have been trying to pick more mature fragrances since I'm no longer a teenager! I think this is a great fragrance for 14-16 year olds. Also, you may have seen Taylor's new perfume, a flanker off of this perfume, called Wonderstruck Enchanted. I blogged about it when I first heard about it, but now it is out, and it sounds like it is Wonderstruck's big sister, with more oriental notes.
