Last night I was invited to attend the launch party of Tinder Plus, which I was super excited for, because as you know, Tinder and I go way back. I thought I’d recap the event for you guys as well as share my outfit- because I’ve been wanting to do that more often!
I recently got this sleeveless turtleneck dress at ASOS Curve and really wanted to wear it. I don’t feel the most confident in it, though, because I don’t like my arms that much. But, I thought in the end it looked great when I paired it with my favorite Eloquii faux leather jacket, which I’ve worn to pieces- but I don’t think they sell it anymore! My shoes are my new staple- super cute heeled booties that are super edgy from Steve Madden…I got them on clearance from DSW-score! All black everything.
The ticket was super cute- a faux boarding pass…they even had a faux airport check in station! The gift bag area was “baggage claim,” which was super cute- I’d tell ya what was in the bag, but I didn’t get one! People snagged them up quickly- all I could really ever ask for is a Tinder T-Shirt to wear in my Tinder videos…how cute would that have been? Next time!
It was held at the Santa Monica Airport at a very low key spot, like a plane hangar of sorts. It was part indoors where the stage was for the performances, and part outdoors- very cool and interactive. I think there had to be over 500 people there!
They had some makeovers being done by GLAMSQUAD, a mobile hair and makeup service app, so since I was alone I decided to wait and get my hair done. Rachel did a side braid to show off my cartilage piercing and then gave me some sassy waves with a flat iron. I wish I could do this hairstyle on myself! I’ll have to practice.
And then, after a few Ciroc Peach & Red Bulls…I ran into my good friend Lynette Cenée from YouTube, so we headed over to the dance floor right before the performances started!
Jason Derulo started it off, I almost forgot how many hit songs he had, I knew almost everything he played besides the new stuff- and we were super close!
And I definitely recall putting “Whatcha Say” on my throwback playlist on Spotify- reminds me of high school!
Zedd was awesome- I used to listen to “Clarity” on repeat on my 2 hour metro ride to an internship I had in 2012…they just recently started playing it on the radio! Martin Garrix was also there!
I also overheard a funny conversation about Zedd at the party- too funny…couldn’t resist tweeting that one! He was definitely just walking around before his set…I kept my mouth shut there.
Overheard @Tinder#TINDERTAKEOFF party: “That guy looks like @Zedd” “He looks like Zedd if you have seen him twice” It was definitely him.

Thanks for having me, Tinder! Just send me a T-Shirt and I’ll be yours forever ;). And I hope you guys liked this event recap- I hope to do a lot more because they’re a lot more interesting than just an outfit post in my opinion!
