Slowly but surely I’ve been weaving though all of my Cosmoprof North America 2015 photos, products, and business cards to show you all what’s up and coming in the beauty industry. Last week I showed you fragrance, and today I’m sharing hair! I’m not the biggest hair guru, I only started dying it maybe 2 years ago, never blow dry, and kind of suck at styling, but I was able to find some fun things that even I could use!
First off, one of my favorite brushes that I’ve ever tried (although I haven’t used one in a long time), The Wet Brush, unveiled their new Pop Fold full size travel brush. This looks amazing- gotta try it (along with their gold brush pictured at the top…because it’s aesthetically pleasing). It’s so hard to travel with hair brushes, and travel brushes usually never work the same. But, The Wet Brush Pop Fold is the same brush you love, just more compact for traveling!
Another brush I was beyond impressed with was the Qwik-Clean Brush by Be In Beauty. This brush has retractable bristles which allow the hair build up to be easily removed. It’s such a genius idea- why didn’t I think of that?! Really want to try this one as well…I hate the look of my dirty hair brushes with my dark hair strewn throughout- and it’s impossible to remove all of the hair myself! They also have an attachment for hair dryers that has a heated portion to straighten hair- genius!
Detangling brushes are definitely a must- and another innovative product is The Tangle Angel. The brush features a stylish but functional shape, with dual-length bristles meant to detangle all strands of hair. They come in 2 sizes and also have one for pets!
Lastly in the detangling brush train we have The Knot Dr., which has a sleek line of detangling brushes and stylers. I like the look of their brushes, I wouldn’t mind displaying them in my bathroom! A great feature they have is a travel case for them: bye bye bent bristles in your suitcase or travel bag!
These affordable but professional quality hairbrushes by KareCo are available at Wal-Mart. I don’t blow dry my hair but I was impressed by their dome-top round brushes- seems like they’d make blow outs easier for both the professional and for the average girl.
Celebrity hairstylist Sarah Potempa revolutionized the hair tool world when she introduced the BeachWaver Pro, an automatic rotating curling iron. She recently introduced the BeachWaver S1, ideal for the at home user who may not need such a lengthy barrel. I think her BeachWavers would work a lot better on my short hair than another rotating iron with a huge barrel that I tried earlier this year. I am also excited about an upcoming flat iron she’s launching with attachments to aid in flat iron curling (pictured above at the bottom left)! The Wrap Up & Half Up make updos and buns super easy- unfortunately my hair is way too short for these but if you have longer, less layered hair like mine, your styling time will be cut in half if you use one of these!
Rowenta Beauty has a line of great blow dryers and styling irons. The hair dryers look super sleek and they have a styling iron that can both flat iron and have rounded sides in order to curl! They demonstrated the Versa Style Styling Iron on me and I got gorgeous loose curls- I even practiced on myself and was finally able to master curling with an iron with theirs! I think that says something!
Also, no photo, but check out Zenagen if you have problems with thinning hair. They have 2 formulations: Revolve, for those with hair loss, and Evolve, for those with normal hair that needs a boost. I was blessed with tons of hair, so I don’t have these issues- but I know tons of men and women do, so it may be worth looking into!
Lots of great hair options here- any that you’re interested in? I know that I’m adding a few of these brands to my must-try list! Stay tuned for a few more Cosmoprof posts…we have so much more to cover!
