When I posted my hair routine last month, I had mentioned having tangly hair and not knowing what brush to use…then, I had a lightbulb moment and realized I had a Tangle Teezer stashed away for this very reason!

The Tangle Teezer is the original detangling brush…so many brands have copied them in years past, but theirs is the OG. They clearly know me very well and sent me their gold Compact Styler, which comes in a lot of other color combos and you can even personalize them with a photo!

I’ve been using this brush exclusively and I really like it for a few reasons. First, it’s portable and has a little cover that makes it purse or travel friendly so you don’t damage the bristles…a huge problem when traveling with traditional brushes! Second, the plastic bristles aren’t too flexible like my Wet Brush, meaning it’s less work to get out tangles and knots. Third, I like that it fits in the palm of my hand- making it easy to use and less tugging on your hair than with a brush with a long handle.

I just checked out their site in order to write this post, and was surprised to see that they have styling brushes! The Smoothing Tool is next on my wishlist, because when I blow dry my hair I always dry it a little, then brush out the tangles with my Tangle Teezer, and repeat the process until I’m done. This seems a bit easier…I just can’t give myself a round brush blow out so this seems like a perfect compromise.

So, if you have a lot of hair that tends to tangle…try out a Tangle Teezer and see what you think! I’m a convert. 😊
