I stumbled across this lipstick randomly at work and fell in love. I always write down little notes of things that I am intrigued by and stash them in my bag for later viewing, haha! As you know, I’m obsessed with orange lips, so is this really a shock? I’ve actually never tried ANYTHING from Milani– shocking! But, I love finding drugstore brands that do bold colors, so I am loving it already!
Tangerine Tuesday #8: Topshop Lip Stick in Hedonist with Swatches
Topshop, an amazingly trendy store based in the UK also has their own makeup line that I’ve been lusting over for quite a while. I’ve had this since April when I went to New York, and I’m obsessed. It’s chubby-pencil stick makes it perfect for application anywhere. Of course I have the bright orange, called Hedonist. I’ve got to say, that’s a clever little name for this color- it’s definition is “pursuit or devotion to pleasure.” And I am definitely a hedonist when it comes to beauty!
These Lip Sticks cost $15 and can be found on Topshop’s website or at their retail stores.
It’s basically a perfect orange- matte and pigmented. I also like to use this as a base for some lipsticks that are sheerer with a glossy finish. Thank God Topshop is coming to Los Angeles!
Tangerine Tuesday #7: Sephora True Cream Lip Color in Sunset Rhythm
Sephora released a trio of tangerine tango inspired lipsticks in honor of Pantone’s color of the year. I was super excited when I saw Sunset Rhythm, a bright TRUE orange. For only $12, you get an awesomely packaged magnetic closing little tube of lipstick with the traditional Sephora “S” shape imprinted on the lipstick.
I am in love with this lipstick in every single way possible. I’d definitely recommend this one- it’s a great price for what you’re getting with good quality to boot!
It’s build-able coverage makes it perfect for everyone. Let me know if you have this lipstick and how you like it! See ya next week!
Tangerine Tuesday #5: Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick-No. 12 (Kate Moss Collection)
As you may have already heard, Rimmel London collaborated with model Kate Moss to create a line of lipsticks. I decided to pick up #12 because it looked promising on swatches I had seen on other blogs. I’ve got to say, it didn’t exactly live up to the hype for me personally, but I know a lot of others would love it because it is a coral-orange, rather than straight up carrot-orange. It is a nice lipstick, however, because it is not drying and smells nice!
It definitely has nice pigment for a drugstore lipstick! You can find this online or at some mass retailers for about $5. Have you guys tried any of these out?
Tangerine Tuesday #4: Youngblood Lipstick in Tangelo
Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics launched this lipstick for spring, and it is a perfect shade for both spring and summer. If you’re afraid of orange, don’t stray away from this one. You can apply it with a light touch or build it up for a bolder look! This was my first Youngblood product, and they definitely do not disappoint!
I love the sleek black packaging of this lipstick, with an embossed YB on top!
The best part is the fact that it can be applied sheerly and heavily for two completely different looks with enough orange for all beauty junkies!
This is definitely a go-to orange lip color for me, it is just so easy! You can get it yourself for $19 from Youngblood! What’s your favorite orange lipstick?
