The Owl’s Brew is a super unique brand that makes artisinal cocktail mixers using tea. Yes, tea. I had first tried the product in 2013 at a Beauty Event and recently reconnected with them to collaborate on a few cocktail recipes that are perfect for spring & summer.
The Owl’s Brew Frozen Coco-Lada (makes one drink)
4 oz Owl’s Brew Coco-Lada
2 oz rum
1 oz pineapple juice
ice to blend
Garnish with fresh pineapple & coconut (umbrella optional)
Piña Coladas have always been a favorite of mine, so it’s no surprise that I love this take on it. This drink is DELISH. A favorite for sure, and I’ll definitely be making it this summer. I sense that it would be AMAZING with the Cîroc Summer Colada flavored vodka I just posted about last week! A piña colada is the one frozen cocktail you need to make this summer. The Owl’s Brew Coco-Lada adds a bit of a spice to the classic, and isn’t the fake, syrupy stuff that you may be used to.
I’m calling this one The Basic Bitch, because, it’s their classic mixer, plus…La Croix…let’s be real. 😂
The Basic Bitch (makes one drink)
4 oz The Owl’s Brew Classic Cocktail Mixer
2 oz vodka
2 oz Tangerine La Croix
Garnish with mint (and a lemon wedge would be 👌🏻)
This drink is perfect if you don’t like super sweet drinks- it goes down super easy and because La Croix has 0 calories, it’s a skinnier option than the other since there’s no juice.
If you don’t consider yourself the best cocktail mixer in the world but love a good drink, Owl’s Brew makes life a lot easier. Their basic drink recipe is 2 parts Owl’s Brew to 1 part alcohol…so easy! I was pleasantly surprised with how my cocktails came out, because I don’t consider myself an at-home drinker, so I haven’t really experimented much. You can find Owl’s Brew in stores such as Whole Foods, BevMo, and Bed Bath & Beyond!
