I was recently sent the StriVectin Advanced Retinol Pore Refiner from iFabbo and I’ve had a few weeks to try it out. It’s a moisturizer that has retinol which is great for anti-aging and pore tightening.

I used to be on retinol for a while and it’s great but very drying. I find that to  be the case with this product, so I use moisturizer along with it. Additionally, you only want to use retinols at night because they make skin sensitive to the sun and can cause skin and sun damage if so. Although it’s not as high of a level as prescription grade, it’s better safe than sorry.

I thought this lotion sunk into my skin very quickly and made my face feel very smooth. I think it can tend to feel dry, so I wouldn’t wear this alone overnight because retinol is notorious for flaky skin. I didn’t necessarily monitor the size of my pores, but that’s not a concern for me. As long as my skin is soft and smooth, I’m happy!

This product is more on the expensive side, at $99, but it is really nice if you can’t get a Retin-A prescription and has a similar effect. I’m definitely curious to try more products from StriVectin after using this!
