I recently snagged a sample size of Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Beso for free with a Sephora order. I was super excited to try this formula because I’ve heard such great things about it’s staying power. This shade, Beso, a true red, is also raved about a lot on YouTube and blogs. Although I’m not a huge red lip wearer, this product impressed me by the moment I tried it on!

The lipstick goes on very creamy at first, and within a minute or so, becomes completely dry and matte. I find the doe foot applicator a bit difficult to make the lines of my lips precise, so I like to use a lip brush for the majority of it. Still not a perfect application, but I’m still getting the hang of it. In the above photo I have one layer, but I find that a 2nd layer makes it completely opaque. Put it on dry lips so it dries and lasts longest.

I’ve only worn this a few times but I really like how it looks on me. I can see myself wearing red a lot more with this lip color! I love the look of truly matte lips, but there aren’t a ton of products out there that do a good job. This is probably the best matte lip product I’ve tried. it stays put for hours, but be wary when eating. I was impressed that my lips stayed mostly intact, but you still need to reapply after eating. Greasy food can definitely wear this product down. But, when drinking something with a straw or in a cup, there isn’t a mess of lipstick left behind.

I took the above photo after letting the product dry completely, and that was how little of a mark it left! Pretty impressive for such a bold, red, lip. I think the outside of my lips left a mark because I probably had remnants of lip balm on my lips, but regardless, I’m smitten with Stila right now! Hope they create more shades in the future. I’ve got my eye on Carina, a coral shade that looks to die for.
