I have been painting my nails like crazy lately since I haven’t been up to much. I’ve been painting my nails every other day almost! I got this Zoya shade during their sale in the beginning of the year because I thought it was a great shade for fall and winter. Envy is a super dark mossy green shade with a cream finish. It was an easy 2 coats, but it showed up a lot darker than I wanted. In this photo it looks fine, but in real life it was almost black! Regardless, Zoya has great quality polishes for only $8, so I’m a fan! Also, quick note…their customer service is stellar. I got the wrong order originally and they shipped my correct order quickly and let me keep the wrong shades.
Ipsy February 2013 Glam Bag Review
Ipsy‘s February 2013 bag was put together to make subscribers red carpet ready. Since it’s awards season, these products are there to make you feel as glam as you would if you were walking the red carpet. All of the products were in a black vinyl bag which I thought was alright, besides being a little smelly!
Lash Card Individually Wrapped Mascara Shields: These are cards made of card-stock with a small curve and large curve on each side to prevent mascara smudges on your eyelids. I didn’t particularly care for these because I don’t have a problem with tons of smudging, but if I did, I could easily use a business card to prevent mess-ups. I wouldn’t recommend these!
Pixi Flawless & Poreless: This is a tinted primer to go under your foundation to help it last. It doesn’t have a silicone-y feel to me, it feels more moisturizing. It doesn’t smell like anything, maybe a little plastic-y. It’s a great natural primer because I find that my skin doesn’t look super-matte and fake, but natural and a little bit dewy.
POP Beauty Smokey Lash Kapow! Mascara: I love getting mascara samples in my boxes because they are the perfect size for a mascara without wasting much product. This mascara is super thickening and not very lengthening, so it’s ideal for layering!
Mica Beauty Cosmetics Gel Liner: I typically wouldn’t be too excited about a gel liner, because I don’t wear liner on my eyelids a lot. But, this was an exception because it was a black gel liner, which, surprisingly, I don’t have. I don’t have much to say besides that it does the job well and is very black.
Coastal Scents Eyeshadow Palette: I’m not a fan of these palette samples because I never get colors that I’d actually wear. This palette is a combo of a matte yellow and a shimmery yellow-gold and 2 shimmery browns. I don’t think this is a cohesive look in my eyes because matte shadows look best in the crease in my opinion. I tried them on and they were pigmented, so that’s good. Others got better colors, so it’s really just a luck of the draw! I do like the sample size because I feel like it’s pretty unique to get samples of eyeshadow.
I’m thinking of unsubscribing soon just because I don’t feel the need to have all of these extra products anymore, I’m more into splurging for the products that I need now, I suppose!

Sneak Peek: Youngblood Spring 2013 Collection
Hi guys! So today I wanted to give you a sneak peek into Youngblood‘s Spring 2013 collection that contains 3 products. I will be doing separate reviews on each of these products once they are launched on March 1st!
The three products in this collection are a new Anti-Shine Mattifier, a lipstick in Debalicious, and a new gel eyeliner in the shade Lagoon.
Anti-Shine Mattifier: This product is for everyone who gets oily throughout the day! It absorbs excess oil on the skin, so it is perfect for mid-day touch ups. Some ingredients include Nigella Oil, Pumpkin Oil, and Tocopherol, also known as Vitamin E. These ingredients will moisturize, calm, and protect skin from sun damage. It retails for $36!
Incredible Wear Gel Liner in Lagoon: Lagoon is a teal with golden shimmer that is gorgeous applied either as a liner or under eyeshadow. Some ingredients include Lecithin, Vitamin E, and Iron Oxide pigments. These ingredients will hydrate and provide rich long-lasting pigment. Youngblood’s gel liners retail for $21.
Lipstick in Debalicious: Debalicious is a bubblegum pink that has a creamy finish. Ingredients include Sunflower Oil, Candelilla Wax, and Vitamin E. These ingredients are going to moisturize your lips! Just like all of Youngblood’s lipsticks, this will retail for $19.
And lastly, here’s a little teaser shot of these products applied to my face! I wore the Anti-Shine Mattifier on my t-zone, Lagoon Gel Liner on my upper and lower lash lines, and Debalicious Lipstick applied lightly on my lips.
These products will be available online starting March 1st, 2013! Look out for my full reviews in the coming weeks!

Jessica Nails Alexis/Ruby Empress (It’s a Girl Thing) Review/Swatch
After wearing Ava from Jessica’s It’s a Girl Thing collection, I decided to try on the red: Alexis/Ruby Empress. I’m not huge on red polish, but it’s a popular color because red is flattering on pretty much everyone’s nails. This one I only used one coat for, which was amazing. The pink shimmer in this is so subtle, I could only see it in certain lights. I only wore it for 2 days, but within that time it remained chip and wear free. I’m impressed! Even though I may not reach for reds often, this one I can rely on.
You can purchase this nail polishes online for $7.50, but I haven’t seen the collection go live yet! It launched at the end of January.
Jessica Nails Ava/New Kid In Town (It’s a Girl Thing) Review/Swatch
I recently wore Ava from Jessica’s It’s a Girl Thing collection for Spring 2013 and I’m LOVING it. This is a super pigmented blue toned lavender with subtle silver shimmer. What a perfect spring color! I’ve been going through nail polishes like nobody’s business due to having so many to review, but this one lasted the entire time without a chip. I only wore it for 2 or 3 days…but it’s still a great result for me! These polishes are also really shiny without top coat, which I was impressed with because most shades look somewhat dull. I’d definitely recommend this brand if you can get your hands on it!
