Milani recently came out with a new line of matte lipsticks- which I’m all about! Milani Color Statement Lipstick Moisture Matte comes in 8 runway inspired shades that have a cashmere matte finish and last for hours.

I was sent 4 shades to test out: Matte Naked, Matte Diva, Matte Passion, and Matte Glam. See how pigmented they are?

Side note: The 2 colors in Passion and Diva are pretty much dupes for MAC Lady Danger and Candy Yum Yum! Pretty impressive for a drugstore brand!

First off is my favorite of the bunch, Matte Naked! This shade is the ultimate “your lips but better” medium brown-nude shade. This is my perfect every day shade- I love how it looks on me!

Next is Matte Diva, a nearly neon blue toned bubblegum pink. This one is remarkably similar to MAC Candy Yum Yum, I’m impressed! Definitely going to get a lot of use this summer.

Matte Passion is a fiery orange-red that is a dupe for MAC Lady Danger. I think orange-reds are the most flattering on me, so I love it! I wish they came out with a regular orange though, that would be amazing.

Matte Glam is a grape purple shade that is definitely the least wearable, but it looks great on! I had trouble with this one not being able to stick in the center of my lip, though, and it’s probably the least pigmented of the bunch. Prone to streaks, but it’s a fun shade to say the least!

Overall I’m loving these lipsticks because the matte formula is great and pretty hard to find at drugstores. Also, they smell great, like vanilla frosting! And did I mention cruelty free? Milani Color Statement Matte Lipsticks can be found at CVS stores nationwide starting at $4.99.
