Last month I got the opportunity to try a new beauty box- BOXYCHARM! BOXYCHARM is a beauty box that retails for $21 a month for 4-5 full sized & deluxe sized beauty items. I’ve seen a lot of beauty vloggers talk about this box, so I was excited to try it out as well! I received this box just before the holidays, so unfortunately didn’t have time to get it up in December, but hopefully it will still give you an idea of what type of products you can expect in this box. Here’s what came inside!:
- Coastal Scents Revealed Palette ($39.95): This is a full-sized neutral eyeshadow palette with 20 eyeshadows in it! I can tell it’s inspired by the Urban Decay Naked Palettes, so I’m excited to test it out. I am thinking of doing a video on this palette alone, comment if you think that would be interesting! I did swatch and they’re all fairly pigmented, but testing on the eye once I experienced some fall out.
- Lina Lashes Luxury Mink Lashes ($30): Although these have a high price point, lashes just aren’t really my thing. I’d much rather have another product worth that price. And these lashes are anything but natural, so since they are catering to a wide audience, a less dramatic style would be better in my opinion.
- Mistura Beauty Solutions Retractable Beauty Brush ($19.99): I wasn’t into this at all. The bristles were extremely frayed and the brush didn’t impress me at all.
- Be A Bombshell Lip Crayon in Some Beach ($14): This coral pencil with shimmer doesn’t really scream holiday to me, but the color was pretty. It felt cheap, though, and one of the ingredients is Mineral Oil. Also, the base where the pencil twists up was cracked.
- Eva NYC Hold Me Tight Hairspray (travel size, $10): I think the addition of a deluxe sample is nice, but I feel hairspray-ed out. I have a ridiculous amount of hairsprays already (I may even have this one!), I find dry shampoos to be much better for boxes, especially in travel size!
I think this box had a great amount of variety and a little bit of everything for everyone. I find that a lot of boxes give similar items in the same box, but in this box everything was different. Although not all of the items are something I’d use or like, they do have a great amount of value, as the box retails for $21 but had over $100 in products in it. But, the good thing about extra beauty products- hand them out to family and friends!
