December Ipsy Glam Bag Review

This month I decided to start doing blog reviews for each bag/box I get each month to go along with the video that I post monthly on YouTube! So, let’s get started with Ipsy’s December bag. The bag itself was a slate gray with an Ipsy print liner on the inside, which was a cool touch! I think that added a lot of value to the bag compared to others. This bag came with 3 full sized products and 2 samples. Some Ipsy subscribers also received an Urban Decay Naked Beauty Balm sample that I’m super jealous of. Now, onto my reviews!

Be a Bombshell Hot Mess Lip Gloss– I didn’t use this product because I am not a huge lip gloss user and am so over receiving them in Ipsy’s bags! This was a bright red color.

Mirabella Eye and Face Primer– This primer is a clear silicone formula that can be used on face and eyes. I think it’s a decent primer for the face, but on my oily eyes it’s far too greasy and my eye makeup gets ridiculously creased. I’m not sure how it would work for those with dry eyelids, so keep me posted in the comments if you tried it!

NYX Ultra Pearl Mania Loose Pigment– I decided to toss this in my giveaway pile because I have a lot of eye shadows and this wasn’t a color I’d reach for frequently. NYX is a great brand, though!

Mai Couture Highlighter Papier– I like the idea of these a lot, and they’re a great size. The color is a medium toned highlighter, so on my light skin I can use it more as a blush. I would love it a lot more if it was a light champagne shade, because that’s what I like to highlight with! I do like this product, and I found that I can use the back side as an oil blotting paper, since that is how these are formulated. The only downside is that they leave a lot of excess product on my fingers so I have to wash my hands before moving on.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Zero– I love UD’s liners, and have had quite a few Zero’s pass through my hands and I loved it! It’s very black and stays on well. I haven’t been wearing much black liner lately, but if I do, I reach for this one frequently.

Bel Mondo Bio Cellulose Anti Aging Sheet Mask Review

I’m sure you all have heard and possibly used sheet masks since they’ve been popularized here after coming from Asia…but have you heard of bio cellulose sheet masks? Bio cellulose is a super cool gel-like fiber (woven by cultured bacteria) that sticks to your face, almost like a second skin! The one thing I hate about traditional cotton sheet masks is that they are always slipping off of my face! When I received Bel Mondo‘s masks, I didn’t realize that they were an entirely different fiber! I was so surprised the first time I tried it. It’s such a cool texture and feels SO good on the skin. Right now Bel Mondo only offers anti aging and lightening face masks, but I hope they will launch more in the future! I’d love to try exfoliating or acne masks.

Bel Mondo Bio Cellulose Anti Aging Sheet Mask 2 — I love sheet masks even if I look scary!

As you can see, the mask clings to the skin so well! It doesn’t come off of my chin like other sheet masks do. The mask has a ton of fluid left over at the bottom of the packet, so you can use it as a serum after using it, so it doesn’t go to waste! After I use these masks, my skin looks so even and feels super soft. These masks are $20 each ($90 in a 5 pack), which are pretty expensive in my opinion, but for a high end product that is innovative, it is totally worth it.

Karuna Exfoliating Face Sheet Mask Review

Karuna Skin is a line of sheet treatment masks that use awesome ingredients. I hauled this mask at HBA Expo, and couldn’t wait to try it out! All of their masks include the Karuna Beauty Boost, which has chinese licorice, aloe vera, chamomile, vitamin B, and a blend of peptides. This mask additionally has both pineapple and lemon extracts to exfoliate.

Sheet masks come folded up with a plastic sheet for easy application. They’re just a cotton mask that is saturated with the ingredients!

I’ve gotta say, these are the best face-fitting masks I’ve used. I have used an Asian brand before, and it fit really strangely. In the photo it doesn’t look like it fits well, but it does. It’s just hard to keep the mask up whenever you’re standing straight up! I kept this on for 20 minutes…it tingled a bit but it felt really nice.

Here’s my face after (ahh, the horror! no makeup!)- just rub the extra liquid all over your face and let it sink in. There’s no redness and I feel like my skin looks lighter and more even…my skin naturally has some redness on my cheeks and chin. I’ve got to say I’m definitely a fan of these masks…I wish I had all of them!
