Derma E Advanced Peptides & Collagen Moisturizer and Firming DMAE Eye Lift Review

Lately my makeup obsession has fallen to the wayside and exchanged for an obsession with skincare. I’m not mad about it because my skin has been on point. Derma E recently sent over a few fall must haves to incorporate into my routine, and I have to say, I’m impressed! I sometimes forget about Derma E in lieu of fancier brands, but Derma E gets shit done and is affordable at the same time.

The Derma E Advanced Peptides & Collagen Moisturizer ($35) is a reformulation of their Deep Wrinkle Moisturizer, making it perfect for Fall and Winter weather! This double-action moisturizer features Matrixyl synthe’6 and Argireline to help visibly soften skin, along with plant extract Pycnogenol to help support healthy collagen. It’s a super thick and luxurious feeling cream, scented with lavender, which makes it perfect and soothing for nighttime use. I like this one even though I have oily/combo skin, as I just use it at night.

The Derma E Firming DMAE Eye Lift ($24.95) is an eye cream that lifts, firms, and tightens the eye area. I particularly love the tube packaging so you’re able to dispense just the right amount of eye cream. DMAE is used in skincare to help fade age spots and sagging skin, but the cream also features Hyaluronic Acid, also known as nature’s moisture magnet, absorbing 1,000 times it’s weight in water!

Derma E is vegan and cruelty free, and is now available at Walgreens, so it’s easy to get affordable skincare options near you without having to wait forever for your online order to come in.

Derma E Purifying Daily Detox Scrub Review

I was recently sent a duo of products featuring activated charcoal from Derma E, including this Purifying Daily Detox Scrub. It’s a naturally based exfoliant that uses apricot seed powder, activated charcoal, and a few plant extracts to brighten and fight toxins on your skin.

I’ll be honest, I’m a big fan of quite a few Derma E products, but this one doesn’t really do it for me because I don’t love exfoliating with apricot seed powder. I mean, you’ve seen how St. Ives had to basically rebrand due to how trash their hero product is. That’s not to say that this product is entirely bad, I don’t mind scrubbing with some apricot seeds on my elbows, just not for the face.

Derma E Purifying Daily Detox Scrub (Top & Bottom) + Mask (Middle)

The Derma E Purifying 2-in-1 Charcoal Mask on the other hand, I love. This one actually has the apricot seed powder in it as well, but there are a lot fewer granules in it so I don’t feel like I’m scrubbing my face off. If you haven’t checked out Derma E yet, their Microdermabrasion Scrub, which I’ve also reviewed, is my #1 favorite product they make that I’ve tried. I love the brand because they are pretty clean ingredients-wise, vegan, cruelty free, and most importantly, just have some great products!

The December Shelfie: Sunday Riley, Marula, Kristen Ess

After the amazing response on last month’s shelfie, I knew I had to step my game up, because…I don’t wanna be a one trick pony! So, I decided to move my shelfie to a medicine cabinet this month. Next month will be different too…I’m moving! I’ll still be doing these monthly (until you guys stop liking them), but with all of the products I’m always trying, I think this is the perfect way to give my quick fire reviews on what I’m currently using!

There’s a *ton* of products this month (it takes a shit ton of products to fill up a medicine cabinet apparently…), so I’ll only be highlighting a few, but comment below if there’s anything you’re curious about and want to hear more on!

Top Shelf:

I’ve been masking with Sulwhasoo a ton lately- I have their whole mask portfolio now from the launch of their new sheet mask that I previewed earlier this month. You may have seen it on my Instagram Stories, but will be doing a review in the near future!

The response to my Juvalips Lip Plumper review was insane- so many of you were into it! I’ve been loving it for getting fuller lips before special events.

The Marula Nourishing Lip Oil is a before bed necessity- I love the cold ceramic tip, and the hydrating formula makes my lips feel so luscious. I also have their beauty oil in the second shelf, and I’ve been loving their essence, which is on the bottom shelf. I’ll be reviewing more soon, but I’ve reviewed the Marula Beauty Oil and a few Marula Skincare Products on the blog before!

If you missed my Patchology CloudMasque review, check it out- this sleeping mask is no joke. I basically use it as a second moisturizer when my skin is feeling dry af.

I love this Bliss Mask-A-Peel Rubberizing Mask…there’s something so pleasing about applying and peeling off an algae mask.

Middle Shelf:

I think this shelf is my favorite. GLAMGLOW has been in rotation for me since I was at their holiday party last month, I’ve been stocked up! Still waiting on that glitter mask though…

Kristin Ess Pomade has been saving my flyaways. I suck at hair so I never thought to use it, but I always have a little fluff ball of flyaways and baby hairs on the top of my head that drives me insane. Applying this really helps.

My most favorite products from the entire damn shelfie are my new Sunday Riley products: Good Genes and Luna. My skin has never looked better, honestly…and I’ll have to save the rest of my thoughts for a blog post. 😉

A new to me brand is 10 Degrees Cooler / Apothecary 90291, an LA based organic skincare line. They sent over a few products including a face and eye oil. I looooove face oils (if you can’t tell by all of the oils in this shelfie), but an eye oil is a new experience for me! Since trying these, I already want so many more products from the line!

Sara Happ has a clay mask for lips. It’s cool as hell. The End.

Bottom Shelf:

I’m loving the Malin + Goetz Cleansing Oil – it’s been a lifesaver at removing pesky mascaras that are hard to remove (like L’Oreal Lash Paradise).

Infusing some cannabis into my beauty routine with Herb Essentls – full review coming soon!

Switched my blow dry cremes out for Kristin Ess Leave In Conditioner and I haven’t looked back since.

Testing Tavi Hair Textura Spray to see how it stacks up to previously reviewed texture sprays…Kristin Ess (my HG), Oribe, and OUAI.

Derma E Purifying 2 in 1 Charcoal Mask Review

Derma E recently gave their amazing skincare line a bit of a facelift and I was excited to see an old favorite, their Purifying 2-in-1 Charcoal Mask– looking better than ever!

This charcoal mask is a mask + exfoliant in one. Charcoal masks are great for drawing out skin impurities and drying out any acne. It’s great for oily skin like mine. I love how when you wash it out you get to exfoliate at the same time. It’s a great multitasker- why use two products when you can use one?
