Glossier recently unveiled two new Cloud Paint shades: Dawn & Storm, an extension to the existing 4 shades debuted last year, inspired by NYC sunsets. Or just sunsets in general, ya know.
Dawn is a bright coral orange, and Storm is a rosy shade that gives you a sunburnt but not actually sunburnt look.
I gave my first impressions and swatches on my IGTV, which unfortunately can’t be embedded because Instagram TV sucks.
I’m not sure what’s different about these cloud paints as compared to the old ones, but in my opinion they seem more pigmented than the two shades I’ve owned previously (Dusk + Beam). I have super oily skin, and haven’t noticed these blushes screwing with my foundation too much. I apply with a beauty blender for the smoothest application and easy blending.
I’m an orange girl, so Dawn is my favorite from this new launch, but both of the shades are really nice and kiiiiinda made me feel like I’ve been sleeping on Cloud Paint by just being too lazy to use another cream product.
The gel-cream blush formula isn’t something I’d typically lean towards, but they are a nice product from packaging to formula. I will say, you don’t need a ton, so it’s easy to go overboard with the little oil paint-inspired tubes. And the caps are kind of finicky, but my nails are long as fuck and make functioning as a human really hard.
You can get 1 cloud paint for $18 or 2 for $30— which is a damn good deal IMO. And don’t forget if you use my link you get 20% off your first order!
