At Gen Beauty LA, everyone was super excited to get this Bellami Hot Rod 32mm Curling Wand in their creator gift bag, because, just look at it! The multi chrome is everything. Heck, I was even stoked about it based on that fact alone. So, it was one of the first products that I tried and unfortunately I wasn’t a fan.

The wand, for me, doesn’t curl hair well enough- and not for lack of trying. It gets extremely hot (my roommate burnt herself on it and I burnt my ear on mine), yet the curls are wimpy and don’t hold. For these loose curls, I had to curl my hair for 30 minutes. With my other curling wand, a Cortex one with interchangeable barrels that’s a fraction of the price, I can get the same look in half the time.

So, for me, this one was a surprising pass. Have you tried anything from Bellami? Everything seemed so great until I actually tried something. But, hopefully their extensions are better than their tools.
