Shiseido WetForce Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion & Clear Stick SPF 50 Review

This past weekend I headed to Malibu for an afternoon at the Shiseido Beach House to learn about their sunscreens. As someone who is basically translucent, sunscreen is essential for me in the summer since I burn crazy fast. And in reality, sunscreen should be an every day thing, but it's often neglected, even by me! The Shiseido WetForce Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion & Clear Stick both have SPF 50 and go on CLEAR for all skintones. Talk about a GAME CHANGER.I threw on some workout clothes and my Converse x Miley platforms (random q: comment any tennis shoe recs below! I need something #athleisure) and headed straight to the beach. I was running super late from another event so I didn't get to experience *everything* that was happening. But, there was some breakfast bites, yoga, meditation, cardio, and more. So naturally, I went straight for the cardio, because I like to punish myself. Before the cardio class, I applied the Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion on my face and body and loved the scent and light texture it had. But boy, was I struggling in that cardio class in the sun. Forgot both my sunglasses and my hair tie. See the evidence of how cute I look working out below:[huge_it_slider id="7 "]Beachside Cardio at the Shiseido Beach House in Malibu, CA (photos by Jennifer Johnson)This week I've been putting these products to the test, because I wanted to see how they work for every day life. I mean, it's not every day that you're working out on the beach. One can only hope. And here we have it, the PROOF that these sunscreens are totally clear - in GIF form! The Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion WetForce SPF 50+ goes on super lightweight and clear, although the product itself is a translucent white color. The WetForce technology gives skin a protective veil once activated with perspiration or water exposure. It's not sticky or greasy at all, and has a nice light citrusy scent. This one is my favorite out of the two. This stick, on the other hand. She is C L E A R A F. The first time I opened it I was shocked that it didn't basically look like a deodorant! See it in action for yourself:I like the stick as well, but it has a bit of a dewier finish which doesn't favor my oily skin. But, for no makeup days, no problem. The most impressive part is that I tested both of these products under makeup (and at the same time, at that), and didn't think that my makeup applied any different- they fit in my routine seamlessly and I don't feel any less matte after putting on foundation, concealer and powder. Shiseido does claim that these work over or under makeup, but I'll always prefer under. They're winners in my book and will now be my summer go-tos! I'll be using them for face and body, because I typically break out from aerosol sunscreens so I want to treat myself and start avoiding those products!**This post contains products that I have received for free and affiliate links-for more information, please read my Disclosure Policy**
