Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Collection x Coveteur Event at Broken Shaker, Freehand Hotel DTLA

Last night Dr. Jart+ and Coveteur threw a rooftop bash at the Broken Shaker bar on the rooftop of the Freehand Los Angeles Hotel in DTLA. I've been meaning to check the rooftop out, as the lobby of the hotel is gorgeous and the café inside is amazing, so, this was the perfect excuse! I don't think I've tried anything from Dr. Jart+ in a few years, aside from their amazing BB creams, but since they've launched both their Ceramidin collections and those Rubber Masks, they've been on my radar!Bloggers & Coveteur fans alike swarmed the rooftop, joined by Coveteur co-founder Stephanie Mark. DJ Brittany Sky was spinning on the rooftop as well, as everyone enjoyed cocktails and light bites. The new Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass collection features 4 products (3 pictured), all featuring Tiger Grass, or centella asiatica, as the hero ingredient. Never heard of Tiger Grass? Me neither...but apparently, it's an Asian herb full of anti inflammatory properties. It gets its nickname because actual tigers roll around in it to heal their wounds! Here's what's in the line:

  • Re.Pair Serum ($46): a soothing serum to calm redness and irritation

  • Nightly Re.Pair Mask ($48): an overnight sleeping mask to soothe and calm damaged skin

  • Color Correcting Treatment SPF 30 ($52): a green to beige color correcting treatment to correct redness

  • Tiger Grass Cream ($48): a skin cream to calm inflamed skin

I'm sensing a trend...this line seems to be geared towards those with redness (maybe even rosacea), and easily irritated skin. I do have issues with redness and sensitivity so fingers crossed that these products can help my skin behave. I'll definitely report back with my final verdict after I get to put them to the test!Also...if you're in the LA area, check out Broken Shaker at The Freehand Hotel. This bar is so cute and the drinks are amazing. The Coco-Nutcase (renamed the Tiger Bomb for the event), was one of the best cocktails I've had in a minute. The combo of coconut and lime was sweet but not too sweet. Plus, it's pretty. I'll definitely be back!
