Kickstarting My New Year's Resolution With Jenny Craig
Thank you Jenny Craig for sponsoring this post. -- Get serious about losing weight with Jenny Craig!Something I struggle with almost every year but still make a resolution is to lose weight. I don't have to lose a ton of weight necessarily, I just want to feel better about myself and be able to wear the clothes that I want to wear. When I got the opportunity to try out Jenny Craig for a month, I jumped on it as I've always been curious about different meal plans! As you all know, I've done a video on how I lost 40 pounds in 2015, but gained over half of it back- so I want to get myself back on track.I've been meeting with my Jenny Craig Consultant Shannon once perk week to get the week's food and do weigh ins. For members who don’t live near a center, Jenny Craig Anywhere offers one-on-one support through consultations over the phone or via video chat. Consultants provide education on portion control, healthy eating habits and teach members strategies such as how to combine delicious Jenny Craig Meals and Snacks with Fresh & Free Additions that are rich in water and fiber to keep them feeling full longer with fewer calories. So far I'm 2 weeks in, and am glad to say that I've lost 6.6 lbs in those 2 weeks! (Results not typical. Members following the Jenny Craig program, on average, lose 1-2 lbs. per week. I received promotional consideration.) I have cut out soda & replaced with water, eat the JC food, and supplement with fruit, vegetables, and yogurt. My goal for the last half is to incorporate more activity by going to the gym, as it's been a while since I've done that.As far as the food goes, I'll be honest to say that I don't love all of it. But, for options you do not like you can choose from 2-3 replacements the next time it comes up on your meal plan. There are more than 100 premium menu items to love in flavors you can’t resist, created by 40 professional chefs. It's nice being on the plan because I don't have to think about what I'm eating- I already know. I have to say my favorites have been their breakfasts and snacks. I have some trouble with some of the lunch & dinner options but I'm super picky in general. Some of my favorite meals have included the Waffles, Blueberry Pancakes with Sausage, Chicken Pot Pie, and Rotini with Meat Sauce. Plus, their Balsamic salad dressing is killer!I'll be back in two weeks or so to share my final results- I can't wait to see!**This is a sponsored post- for more information, please read my Disclosure Policy**I was selected for this opportunity as a member of CLEVER and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.
