Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invsible Cover Foundation Review (Shade 117)
A few months back I went to an amazing event at ipsy Studios hosted by Make Up For Ever. I was mostly excited to try this foundation as I think it was one of the most heavily anticipated foundation launches this year (in my opinion). I had never tried the original foundation, so I was very excited to test this one out. They provided me with 3 shades of the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation & color matched me based on my profile pictures on social media- impressive! My match is shade 117, which is pictured in the middle. This makes sense because I was the same shade in their powder foundation, which I loved a few years back. Honestly I can't remember the other 2 shades, as I don't have them anymore & there are too many shades to decipher it. I'm pretty sure the left shade is 110, and the right shade is another red toned one. What makes the Ultra HD different? This foundation is formulated for 4K HD video, to provide a medium but buildable coverage that still looks natural on the skin. It has a huge shade range, with 40 shades to suit almost anyone.I've been putting this to the test, wearing it almost daily in both November and December. I find that it has a very natural look but still covers well. If you have acne scars or discoloration, it's best to apply concealer as the foundation doesn't seem to cover it all. But, I apply my foundation with a beauty blender because I haven't found a brush that works just right for me.To get more coverage, I've been using my Ultra HD Foundation Stick in the same shade which has really made me love the foundation even more. I wear the stick alone occasionally, so let me know if you want an individual review of that as well. This foundation lasts very well depending on what primer you use, of course. I am really liking a combination of their Step 1 Skin Equalizer Primers- starting with the smoothing primer & topping with the mattifying primer. I also want to try a few more of their primers like the nourishing, hydrating, and redness correcting ones because I'm really impressed by these two. But, I'll definitely do a review on the primers in the future.I'm very excited to hear that they're launching a concealer to go with this foundation- I feel like I need my matching shade and maybe a shade lighter for the under eye area. I'd be very curious to try them out!You can find the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation at your local Sephora for $43. Needless to say, from primer, liquid foundation, to stick foundation, I'm becoming a Make Up For Ever loyalist- can't wait to hopefully try new things from them soon.**This post contains products that I have received for free-for more information, please read my Disclosure Policy**
