Jouer Spring Crème Eyeshadow Crayons in Avant Garde, Baroque, and Renaissance (Review)
Jouer launched 5 creamy eyeshadow crayons that are rich in vitamin E and contain Alaria Esculenta Extract to smooth and fill fine lines. These twist-up crayons come with a built in sharpener to perfect the domed tip on-the-go. These crayons are waterproof, smear resistant, and paraben free. There are 5 shades total: Abstract, a shimmering black, Avant Garde, a shimmering navy, Baroque, a shimmering chocolate, Renaissance, a shimmering bronzed plum, and Rococo, a shimmering crème. I have 3 shades to share with you- Avant Gardem Baroque, and Renaissance. All of these shades have some shimmer to them. Renaissance is a gilded plum, Avant Garde is a shimmery dark blue, and Baroque is a metallic brown. These are all just one swipe- they are quite pigmented when applied! These crayons are super creamy as well.Renaissance is a surprisingly wearable plum shade. I didn't think I'd love this one just because it has a lot of red to it, but in fact, it's very brown when applied...it took me a while to decipher my pictures of these on the eyes because it looked so similar to Baroque, the brown shade!I put a light layer over my eyelid as a base to my eyeshadow. I blended it out a lot to prevent creasing. On the lid you can see some shimmer as well.I used Renaissance as a liner as well, which I wouldn't really recommend because the shape of the tip is weird and it doesn't last as long. On the lid, however, this product is great! No creasing whatsoever...and that's coming from someone with oily lids.Baroque is a gorgeous metallic brown shade that is perfect for anyone that wears eyeshadow, because everyone wears neutrals! On the lid, Baroque shows a lot of gold shimmer and stays quite pigmented throughout blending! This shade is by far my favorite, even as eyeliner. It isn't amazing as eyeliner, but if you want a cohesive look it does the job. I really love how this one made my shadows look. And of course, I had no creasing after a full day.Avant Garde is a deep blue with tons of shimmer. This is the least wearable shade in the line, but you can make it work and have it still look neutral! This one is ultra pigmented on the eyes! When applied to the lid and blended well, you can still see tons of blue shimmer!I did a basic neutral look with this as a base, and it turned my shimmer champagne into a blue-toned silver eyeshadow- it still looks quite neutral though! It lasted all day without creasing as well.Overall I really love these crayons. I have oily eyelids so very few bases work on my eyes, and these made the cut! I just have to do a very thin layer. I'd recommend all of them, but if you're a neutral girl pick up Baroque and Rococo to use in all of your looks!Jouer's Crème Eyeshadow Crayons can be found for $24 online.**This post contains products that I have received for free– for more information, please read my Disclosure Policy**
