Glossier Hand Cream just launched last week and I was lucky enough to get my hands on it (pun intended!). This launch is super timely with everything going on— I was hitting a breaking point with how dry my hands were getting with the amount of hand-washing we’ve all been doing. I also love that Glossier donated 10,000 hand creams to healthcare and hospital workers!
I never really use hand creams because I hate the greasy feeling of them and having a strong scent linger on my hands. This hand cream is the first I’ve tried and not hated, mostly due to the fact that it’s quick absorbing.
Glossier Hand Cream retails for $18 and contains 1.7 fl oz of product housed in a cute soft touch package that pseudo-resembles a zippo lighter. The scent is a lighter version of their fragrance, Glossier You, which has fresh, clean notes like green iris root and pink peppercorn.
The scent isn’t my absolute favorite as I think it smells weird when first applied, but when it dries down it’s fine. I also feel like it’s fragrance is light enough where I don’t feel like it’d interfere if I put my finger in my mouth (when eating for example…is that weird?).
The formula is meant to be fast-absorbing while delivering a packed punch of moisture from ingredients like meadowfoam seed oil (rich in fatty acids that help lock in moisture) and botanical extracts including rosemary, echinacea, sunflower, and rice bran to soothe and soften.
The packaging is super extra but it certainly is cute. I like the nozzle that dispenses the perfect amount of product. I hate when a hand cream’s bottle has a little too much give and you wind up dispensing enough to cover your hands and both of your arms. The packaging also has a click-closure lid to prevent any leakage which is essential for carrying in your purse!
Overall I’d say this hand cream is at a pretty fair price point for the packaging and it’s performance. I’d probably repurchase it unless I were to try another brand that I liked more, but right now this is the best hand cream I have (and the first one to get me to use it). Check it out if you’re in need!
