I, like many others have issues falling asleep. I think it’s due to a mixture of the noise of my BiPAP machine and that I’m somewhat of a night owl and can’t seem to get off of my phone for a long period of time. I was introduced to RESCUE Sleep Liquid Melts ($9.99) recently, and they have made falling asleep that much easier! These homeopathic melts were developed my a doctor to help you stress less and sleep easier. They also have RESCUE Pearls, Gum & Pastilles for natural stress relief. They are available at CVS, Walgreens, Whole Foods, and Sprouts in the U.S.- I couldn’t find the stress products, but I really want to try! The sleep melts really work- I took these at 8:30 and had to be in bed at 10:30- they work quicker than I thought! But, for those of you that don’t want to use a product to help you sleep, here are a few tips I got from MySleepyFerret to make falling asleep at night easier.
- Use A Sleep Mask: If you need to be in pitch black like I do, a sleep mask helps a lot! I just bought a cheap one off of eBay because it was cute. But, there are more heavy-duty ones that will make it as pitch black as possible!
- Avoid Caffeine: If you’re a soda, coffee, or tea lover- try using caffeine-free alternatives in the afternoon. That mid-day cup of coffee may be keeping you up at night!
- Turn Off Technology: Try to tune out an hour or two before bed- the bright lights stimulate your brain. If you can’t live without your phone like I can, turn the brightness down a bit.
