After running out of my favorite (and more pricy) eyebrow gel, I opted to test out NYX Control Freak Eyebrow Gel, which is a clear non-sticky gel. I prefer to fill in my brows with powder and then set them with a gel so they last all day. I also prefer clear gels since I find that tinted ones aren’t the perfect shade, or add too much color & are messy. This brow gel took a while for me to like it, because I think the wand doesn’t have enough product on it. The “scraper” is too small, removing most of the brow gel from the spoolie. So, it takes a bit longer to apply because I have to dip the wand an extra time for each brow. It takes a bit to dry, so I usually do it as one of my last steps in my makeup routine, after all of my eye makeup is done. It dries to a soft finish, no crunchy brows here! It looks very natural, which is why I like it.
I’d definitely buy this product again, and recommend it to any of you looking for a brow gel! It’s quite the cheap trick at only $6! Can’t go wrong!

I do like the MAC clear gel but you can also find clear mascara and that works like a charm! I think it’s Cover Girl–I can’t find it all the time but always keep an eye out for it.

I’ve never tried MAC’s! I definitely would like to, along with NARS. I have used the Maybelline clear great lash as brow gel once, but I thought the wand put on too much gel. I’ll have to look out for more clear mascaras!

You can’t really go wrong at $6! My ultimate fave is by Anastasia, but try NYX first if you aren’t 100% sold on brow gels so you save some money at least!
