This month’s Beauty Box 5 had a spring cleaning theme- out with the old, in with the new! Here are the products featured:
- Jane’s Pick All Natural Soap: I don’t like bar soap so I didn’t try this. It smelled okay, but I have no idea what scent it was because it didn’t have it labeled. The full size is $8 for 5 oz., but I don’t really give this sample a value because you can get the same size sample at LUSH for free.
- Tree Hut Tropical Mango Nourishing Hand Cream: This full size product retails for $5.29, which is almost half the price of the box. The mango scent is dead on. I just use this as a regular lotion on my legs, because I don’t use hand cream a lot.
- Bellapierre Cosmetics Makeup Base: This hybrid concealer, illuminator, and eyeshadow base is a full size that retails for $18.99, well over the cost of the box! I don’t have a need for a product like this, so I skipped on using it- but it is a great value and looks interesting!
- Design Essentials Natural Curl Enhancing Mousse: I just cut my hair short, and when it’s short it is mostly straight, so I don’t have much use for this. I think it’s only helpful for those with wavy or curly hair. The full size (7.5 oz.) retails for $15.99, so this sample was a decent value!
- Swissco Dual Sided Facial Pad: This exfoliating pad is a lot of bang for your buck at only $2. I didn’t need it, but I’m sure it does a great job without being too harsh!
As you can tell I didn’t hold onto many products from this month’s BB5. I am sure I’d love it if I wasn’t overloaded with beauty products, but most of the time I just toss the leftovers into my giveaway pile. I’d rather give my “trash” to someone who will use it more than I would! I was impressed with this box still, because there were a lot of decent sized products, including 2 full sized that were quite a bit more than the $12 monthly price! I am hoping that the upcoming months will have more color cosmetic products, because I have primarily gotten bath & body products in the past 6 months I’ve received it!
