I was at a NYX Cosmetics event this weekend during IMATS and received an insane gift bag that included all 9 new shades of their infamous Soft Matte Lip Cream! I instantly knew I had to do a blog post and video on these because they are hot off the presses. I thought I would show swatches today, and on Sunday I will be posting a video review and full blog post review- this is just a bit of a teaser because no one has posted swatches of these yet! There are tons of amazing shades that weren’t in the existing line, including an orange and some vampy shades that excite me the most. Now let’s get to swatching…
Their are 9 new shades that are already available online:
- Zurich (matte muted rose)
- Athens (matte peach beige)
- Cairo (matte pure nude)
- Ibiza (matte deep rose pink)
- Prague (matte merlot)
- Cannes (matte muted mauve)
- Copenhagen (matte rich plum)
- Transylvania (matte deep violet)
- Morocco (matte coral-orange)
And here they all are, swatched on my lips. I don’t want to give away all of my thoughts just yet, I have to leave something to be desired for Sunday’s video and full review, right? But don’t they look amazing? (well, besides Cairo…) I don’t have a favorite quite yet, but I’m looking forward to wearing Ibiza, Prague, and Morocco the most right now, because it is so hot in LA it feels like spring, so I have been wearing spring-y makeup!
I’ve recently professed my love for Soft Matte Lip Cream in Milan , so if you want to know what I think of the formula of these, head on over there. As I said, they’re already available online, so pick a few up- you can’t go wrong for $6! A lot of these shades will suit all skin tones (again, besides Cairo). I honestly have no idea when these will hit stores, but I will keep an eye out!

Awesome! It’s a great everyday shade, and I recently used Copenhagen over a lipstick to make it matte and it was awesome!

I think there is always a nicer way of putting rude comments. Fact is, there is a fine line between harmless criticism and cyberbullying. Anyways, I had to do quick & messy swatches because I swatched them all one after the other. This is for more of a color reference than application. And honestly, they’re not that messy.
There’s nothing messy with the applications. How can people be so ride without any basis? Jealousy at its finest. You lips are gorgeous Olivia! 🙂
