One of my favorite brands that I’ve discovered during 2013 is BECCA Cosmetics. While hearing a keynote at iFabbo’s Social Media Conference, I heard that Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector was a must-have for oily skin. I immediately snagged a sample of this and fell in love. I purchased the full size from Sephora soon after, and I’ve been using it ever since!
This is the best primer I’ve found for oily skin, and it is one of a kind! I haven’t seen any primer like it…just check out the ingredients!:
Water, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Propylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylene Glycol, Enantia Chlorantha Bark Extract, Oleanolic Acid.
It features Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, which I haven’t seen in a product before. However, I have used a few powders that contain silica, which is amazing for absorbing oil, so no wonder that this works so great! It’s a different formula than other primers, you need to warm it in between your fingers before applying it to your face. I find that it’s good to apply in small sections, because it dries really fast! I apply it on my forehead, then each of my cheeks, and then my mouth & nose area. When it dries, your face is already ultra-matte and feels a bit dry. You can apply it either before or after foundation, but I like to apply it beforehand. This keeps my makeup looking matte throughout the day, for up to 12 hours. I have really oily skin, so sometimes I need to blot once, but I don’t see that as an issue.
