December 2013 Beauty Box 5 Review

I received my December Beauty Box 5 a few weeks ago, so before the new year comes around I wanted to review it! I was going to do a video on it, but December was a major catch-up month for me, so I couldn’t fit it in my schedule! I’ll try to do one next month, though. Anyways, this month’s box was nice, but I think that I would have liked to see a holiday theme! Here are the products included & my thoughts:

• NYX Cosmetics Love In Rio Palette ($6) – This palette wasn’t really my type, the pink, brown, and blue, are all shimmery and don’t really go well together at all. I do like NYX as a brand, though, but I would rather see a lip product from them!
• Body Drench Moisturizing Sugar Cane Lotion ($8.99 for full size)– This was my favorite product from the box. It smells delicious- almost almondy in my opinion. Very sweet and moisturizes very well!
• Clean & Clear Morning Burst Hydrating Gel Moisturizer ($6.99 full size)– I didn’t actually use this moisturizer, I handed it over to my 13 year old sister because she uses the cleanser from the same line. I’ve used the cleanser a lot and like it for teenagers, and this moisturizer felt really light weight whenever I tested it out on my hand.
• Ofra Cosmetics Sultry Lipgloss Plumper ($12.95)– I decided to give this product away because I don’t care for lip plumpers, and I am generally not a fan of lip gloss. The color wasn’t also something I’d wear, so I couldn’t even test it out. I do want to try Ofra sometime, but this wasn’t the product for me! It was the entire value of the box, though, so it’s always nice to get a full sized item, along with the NYX palette.
• Every Beauty Flexible Foot Smoother ($4.99)– I was really intrigued by this foot exfoliating sponge, because I can never get  my feet as soft as I’d like. I do think it helps a little bit, but I didn’t find it rough enough to really make feet smooth. I prefer a pumice stone product because this sponge just absorbs so much water, I’m afraid it will mildew!
