I recently got DHC’s Deep Cleansing Oil in a goodie bag, and I was so excited to try this product out, as I had yet to try a cleansing oil to remove makeup! You may have heard of people using olive oil or other oils to remove all of their makeup, which honestly didn’t work for me because it leaves an oily residue. What’s different about this product is that it includes an ingredient that helps the oil be completely removed when rinsed. The oil is applied dry to the face to scrub off any makeup, and once it touches water, it turns white and washes off completely. I find that this removes all of my makeup really well, except for mascara. Afterwards, my face feels silky smooth and moisturized. I’m a fan! The full 6.7 oz size (this is a 1 oz sample) retails for $28. I think once I run out I’m going to have to purchase the full size, or try a new oil!
Do you remove makeup with oil? Which would you recommend?

i'm just about to finish up my little bottle of this and I love it, i'd love to repurchase it but as far as I can see it's only available online which annoys me. I prefer to buy my skincare in store. I do love it though 🙂

It's amazing! I believe dermalogica has a similar product, so maybe you can find that in store! 🙂

I actually tried using a mix of olive oil and castor oil to remove make up. It is by far the most effective make up remover I have used.
Thing is, in order to remove it completely you have to use a cloth dipped in hot water to lightly steam your face and then scrub. And repeat once or twice.
I just don't have that kind of time or energy every day.

Yes, that's why I was never a fan of using straight up oil on my face! I'd definitely recommend this oil to you because it is olive oil, just with the added ingredients to wash off easily! I'm very happy with it, as someone with oily skin!

Hi Olivia! I absolutely love this cleansing oil. It's the first one of its type that I've tried and I'm amazed at how well it breaks down product, making it require less rubbing to remove. Great review!
