As a beauty blogger and vlogger, I do get sent products free of charge sometimes. This includes companies, PR, or event goody bags. With that, it is my responsibility to disclose when I am sent such products for free and base my opinions on them truthfully and with integrity.
What does this policy mean?
This policy is just to inform you that I will be honest when sent something for free (which includes being honest about which products were sent for free as well as reviewing said products honestly!)
When a product is sent for review…
When I get sent a product for review (free of charge), I will post about it if I like it. I will not post about products I don’t like, typically. I find that it is usually a waste of time.
When a giveaway is sponsored…
When a giveaway is sponsored, a company is allowing me to throw a giveaway with their product. Most of the time, the company will send these products to the winners themselves. I don’t get paid for these, but sometimes I will receive product along with a giveaway offer.
When a post is sponsored…
When a post is sponsored, that means that a company is paying me a small fee to post a blog post about something. This is a rarity and I would only get paid to blog about something that is relevant to what I post about: beauty, fashion, etc.
When I use an affiliate link…
When I use an affiliate link in a post, I am not getting paid to use the link. For some I get paid commission, for others I can earn free product. I do not like to use and abuse my readers, so if you do not want to buy from my link, don’t! I do host a lot of giveaways on my YouTube and blog, so I just like to use affiliate links to potentially gain a gift certificate to order more giveaway prizes or simply beauty products that I want to review.
When a post doesn’t have a disclosure on it…
Then I was not sent this product for free, it was acquired on my own ! 😉
