Earlier this month I went to Cosmoprof North America, the best and biggest beauty trade show. So, I headed to Las Vegas for 5 days to scout the best in beauty to share with you. First, let’s talk fragrance. I love fragrance, but I don’t share a ton of it on my blog, as scent is very personal. But, my olfactory glands were s(c)ent on a journey at Cosmoprof- there were so many great fragrance lines there, which we all very unique.
So much fun creating my own perfume at @scenterprises with Sue herself at @cosmoproflv! pic.twitter.com/JsPKCPKLLO

Probably the most exciting thing for me was creating my own fragrance (as seen in the above two photos) with Sue Phillips of Scenterprises. She let me smell all of her blends and pick a few accords to blend together into my own unique scent. I mixed a citrusy floral (with orange blossom notes) with a vanilla and amber blend, if I can remember correctly- I named it Bellissima, which is my favorite Italian word! Sue and I had a ton of fun, she quizzed me on some fragrance terms which brought me back to my FIDM fragrance class days and I was pleased that I remembered everything!
The Scentarium is a kit that allows you to design your own scent. This caught my eye because I actually designed a prototype of the same product for my entrance into FIDM. The kit is $225, which includes 12 vials of blended scents in the categories of fresh, floral, woody, and oriental along with 2 atomizers to put your fragrances you create in, and everything else you need to make it!
My favorite fragrance note is orange blossom, so when I stumbled upon Au Pays de la Fleur d’Oranger, I knew I was at the right place! I mean, it quite literally translates to “in the land of the orange blossom.” They have a Néroli Blanc line of 4 fragrances with orange blossom paired with other notes to create a different scent experience. I think my favorite of the 3 samples I have is the Neroli Blanc Intense, which has the sweet and musky notes I like that accompany the neroli. The regular EDP is a bit too green for me, and the Eau De Cologne is a little too clean. I don’t remember the fourth one unfortunately! These scents (and much, much more) are available at Beautyhabit online and at their Westlake Village store (which I may need to pay a visit to!).
If you travel and still want your favorite scent without bringing the entire bottle, the Travalo is a must-have! I already use it and love it, so it was great to see them there. They also have a new Milano style, which looks a lot more chic in a handbag- can’t wait to use the orange one they gave me!
Another fragrance line I fell in love with was Thymes. They have a curated collection of fragrances that are available in bath & body products as well so they are perfect for layering! I loved their Lotus Santal scent and their new Vanilla Ambrette line. From perfume, to bath oil or bubbles, and even candles- I need it all!
In the same vein, Naturally Bare has a line of natural body care that includes washes, scrubs, butters, and lotions to compliment their fragrances. My favorite scent was the Noir perfume, which blends sandalwood and vanilla.
I loved the British apothecary inspired line Royal Apothic. Their fragrance line including candles, perfume, & bath & body products exude sophistication with high end products combined with gorgeous packaging- perfect for displaying proudly! Dying to try it all!
Chef Roblé, who you may recognize from his Bravo TV show Roblé & Co., has recently come out with his own fragrance, Clique by Roblé, combining his love of food into a wearable option. The citrus top notes are inspired by his blood orange cocktail, with base notes resembling his famous dessert called french toast crunch. It’s a sensual and delectable scent that they’ve made into a perfume & body care line, as well as a scented polish! The packaging is gorgeous as well. Roblé was even out and about at Cosmoprof himself, we chatted for a few minutes- super cool guy!
Ayres Beauty is an Argentina-inspired fragrance line including bath & body products. The packaging is super cute, which drew me in, but the scents are even better! Loved the candles the most, but their Midnight Tango collection features my favorite scent, orange blossom, and the Patagonia body butter I got a sample packet of made my skin super smooth! Very curious to try more…
I thought mycoocoon was one of the coolest things at Cosmoprof! They create experiences in “chromotherapy”- I took a test to get my “color,” which you guessed it, was ORANGE! Orange represents sensuality, emotion, and enthusiasm. They spritzed their “orange” fragrance on a card for me and led me into my orange cocoon…
Loved being in @mycoocoon to end @cosmoproflv– interactive experience of color, emotion, scent. Obvi my color=orange! pic.twitter.com/nqT65dJszV

I sat there for around 5 minutes with soothing music and the orange lights changing into lighter and darker shades, which was a super relaxing experience. It was a good way to end a day at Cosmoprof- super rejuvenating! Now I need to turn my room into an orange cocoon of my own.
Last but not least, I thought POTTYMINTS were too cool to leave out. These air freshener tablets dissolve in the toilet to leave the bathroom smelling fresh at all times. If you share a bathroom or are traveling, these can prevent a lot of embarrassing moments! They’re available in two scents, Arancia di Capri and La Fleur. I used the Arancia di Capri, and they really work- the citrus scent was great and they dissolve very slowly. Such a great concept!
Can you believe that this doesn’t even scratch the surface of fragrance at Cosmoprof? There was so much to see, it was so easy to run out of time! But hope you are as excited about these brands as I am!
