Freeman Face Masks: Charcoal & Black Sugar, Cucumber, Avocado & Oatmeal Review

I received these three Freeman masks as a Klout perk for a new campaign called #MyMultiMask, which is a way to use different face masks all at once to treat targeted areas of the face. I received the Charcoal & Black Sugar Polishing Mask, Cucumber Peel Off Mask, and Avocado & Oatmeal Clay Mask. I decided not to use them all at once so I could test each one out individually and review them better!

• Charcoal & Black Sugar Facial Polishing Mask: This mask was really more of a scrub in my opinion, because it has granulated sugar in what seemed like an oily base. However, it didn’t stay oily on the skin and washed off nicely. With a black charcoal mask I’d expect it to be very black, but it wasn’t very concentrated with charcoal because it was a light gray color, mostly sugar. I wouldn’t repurchase this mask because I don’t think it’s the best for my skin type.
• Cucumber Peel Off Mask: I actually already have this mask and have been using it for years. It isn’t my favorite because the glue-like peel off masks are a big mess in my opinion. It is really gratifying to peel this mask off, though!
• Avocado & Oatmeal Clay Mask: This mask is probably my favorite. I didn’t think I had tried it before, but once I used it I immediately recognized it’s scent. It smells a bit like oatmeal, but in a good way. I like clay masks a lot for my oily skin, they do a great job of maintaining oil. This once is nice, but not anything too remarkable.

Overall I really like these masks, they are definitely a sleepover party essential. Definitely pick up the full size bottles, because they are only $3.99! You can get the sample sizes, which are about 1-2 uses, for $1.99. You can buy these at your local drugstore or at ULTA, which is where I usually buy them!
